corporate vs business owner rant. listen if you dare.

I'll be quick.Had a ten year corporate sales career, just left it to take a lesser paying job and to start an LLC that is related to that field.Ultimate goal, take sales skills and apply new job skills to freelance while still employed to start a business. Here's my question. Why is it that I would be more than happy to care about generating my own revenue through an LLC but have zero interest in a high paying sales job?I just can't seem to motivate myself for anyone else but myself.Does this make me selfish or is this a common theme here? Thanks to all who listen and respond. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

I want to take over my local Cigar Lounge, and need your advice.

I've been a professional flooring installer for the last decade. I do pretty well income-wise, but my body is taking a beating and it's not my dream job. Three years ago I started working at my local cigar lounge, and I've found that I really have a passion for customer service and the premium cigar industry. The owners of the shop have recognized my love for the place, they are 75 years old and want to sell it to me, but I've never run a small retail business before. It truly is my dream to buy the business and expand it, but I need some advice on where to start. Should I take some courses online? If so, what do you recommend? Thanks folks! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

I see a lot of b2c experiences here. What are some b2b entrepreneurial businesses where you ARE the middleman?

After moving from a direct to consumer b2c marketing position to a industry intermediary b2b position in my careerlife, I see potential in b2b services for local businesses, small businesses and hobby interests. Also would prefer to minimize customers and their needs by interacting directly with business owners. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

My Cheap and Dirty Trick For E-Commerce Branding (I've done this 3 times already .)

Hey everybody. I had another win this week and I had to share this trick that has come in handy for me regarding marketing my business. We've all heard how important branding is in getting our name out there - it's why Coca-cola slaps it's logo on everything, right?Of course it is, but when you're first starting out in business, every dollar spent is crucial - and custom branding is expensive. There's lots of laboring done by entrepreneurs about what their logo should look like or what it should cost. I won't go into any of that here, except to say once you have your logo and your branding - I highly recommend getting a rubber stamp of your logo.I started using this rubber stamp method of putting my restaurant logo on take-out bags back when I had a burger delivery start-up with the Domino's pizza founder. He taught me this. It's a low-budget, high impact piece of branding. Every bag that went out the door had our logo on it.When I opened my board game website, I turned to my old mentor's trick and started stamping the outer shipping box with our friendly dice logo. This simple stamp allowed me to uplift my brand's visibility throughout the shipping process, but when the customer picks up their package and see our happy dice logo with my domain name across the package, I think it sparks some joy in the customer. That's why I wanted to share with you all this hack because I've taken it a bit farther and I couldn't be more excited with the results. I'm launching a worm farm business (you can check out the 5 Ride-a-long posts so far in /r/EntrepreneurRideAlong)You see, our new product is an in-home Worm Composter and our ideal customer is very concerned about the way packaging products are used. As a composter brand, it would be offensive to my customer if I were to send styrofoam peanuts as filler for my boxes as an example. So I have been working to make sure all of our packaging is compostable.Well, I left my wife Audrey to the details of getting our logo and branding right for our outer box and she did such a great job I had to share.Imgur: Using Rubber Stamps for Branding on PackagingShe also got stamps made saying "This Box is Worm Food" and also smaller logos for our inner packaging. For this method, I just used generic boxes from ULINE and then we stamped our logo and branding on them. I chose emerald green because that's easily associated with environmental/sustainable living companies.I'm so pleased with how it tells our customer that we're an eco-conscious brand and that our packaging is compostable. It also helps us continue to convey our fun, curious approach to worm farming. I also know that when our customers order and see Verm the Worm on our logo with this branding they're going to be smiling as they bring it inside. We got our stamps off Etsy and they can range from $50-150 for the rubber stamp and the inkpads are probably another $20-30, but you can also buy refillable inks to replenish the pad. We just take normal boxes and stamp them ahead of time. If you are currently sending a product to your customer in an unbranded box or envelope I highly encourage you to try the rubber stamp method to quickly up your product branding game without breaking the bank on stickers or printed graphic labels. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

Should I go to college or start my business straight after high school?

I want to start a cafe, something on the higher end (not fast food, but nice). But somewhere you can go to have brunch with good coffee and other drinks. With a little library nook and movie nights. I've been working on a business plan with my business teacher, i've been working on this for a few months and its something I really want to do for the rest of my life! I work at a starbucks rn and I like it a lot, but I would really like my own place, something different.Learning in business class doesn't even seem like school to me, I just love learning about it and then putting that knowledge back into my work. I have supportive friends, family, and mentors. But i'm wondering if there is any holes in my plan? A critical flaw that i could have missed?Anyways, any advice, tips, tools welcome. :D thank you all <3 see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

niche idea UK

There's a niche in the UK for student accommodation and houses for cleaning services specifically a carpet and floor in living rooms/kitchens etc. As a student myself if I had a discounted cleaning service especially if people threw up on carpet after nightout, I would hop on board.I was thinking of renting the equipment then use storage then buy both after investment. I was thinking for my model to approach landlords specifically my on own, then offer this or if they wanted the cheaper option of renting the equipment, from me as a middleman, themselves and increase the frequency of their cleaning. Right now most student halls don't have cleaning and international students that live in studios would prefer to save money. Its a very fresh idea; what do you think my first steps should be or if its a bad idea?I was thinking of it also being a subscription model either with students or landlords. Houses would get their own models as landlords are private. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

Is there a demand for waste disposal?

I have been pondering the idea for a while of buying a heavy duty truck and dump trailer where I would rent the trailer out. I would be parking it at a persons desired location and let them fill it with whatever junk they have and pick it up and do the disposal making it more convenient for them. I think I’d also offer the option to load the trailer for them at an additional cost. I have many ideas on how to expand further after I’m established. this isn’t meant to be a full time job to begin with. Just curious if there is a demand for a service like this or if I’m wasting my time. TIA see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

Rate my financials

In this link is a WeTransfer PDF of my excel spreadsheet that I fill in each month to compare my actual realised performance for the month vs what I forecasted / expected before launching my venture late last year.https://ift.tt/PIFALfZ reference:- I buy pallets of boxes- I sell boxes (100 cubes in a box) in two shapes, pillars and rocks- White cells are estimations of calculations from estimations- Lite Purple cells are my inputs for actual results each month- Dark Purple cells are calculations made from actual results each month- some columns/rows are hidden for simplicity (e.g. breakdown of cogs etc.)What I like about this sheet:- I get a good comparison between expected/actual- Easy to input each monthWhat I don't like:- I want to be able to easily alter my expectations each month to have a more accurate forecast of how the business will perform. For example, I overestimated how many active clients I'd do business with, but its not easy to change those forecasts in any given month to reflect something closer to the actuals since they're calculated from original conditions at the launch of the business (and modelled over each month)Does anyone recommend any platforms to track a businesses performance over time? An all in one I guess for CRM, financials etc. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

I want to freelance my work by designing and sourcing products for people. How would I go about properly quoting potential customers?

I currently have a decent size following and I want to provide my services with my knowledge on designing and sourcing products from china. I've done this for about a year or two, and I've put out my own products so I am very familiar with the process. I know my followers would be interested as my demographic consists of university students, members, alumni so they would use my services to make products for their clubs, programs, etc. Many clubs have reached out to me already with stickers designs, so I want to step it up this time and make more money. How would I go ahead and properly quote my customers? I'm unfamiliar of the professional title this would be given in a job market, but I'd like to reflect my prices based on the market. My understanding would be that I would have the design fee, ($75-150), then would I charge them an hourly/monthly/fixed rate?I was just thinking of options like charging a fee per pc - for example, I could have a customer that wants patches for their club. Each patch is $1 with a MOQ of 100. Would it make sense to charge a certain percentage per pc? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

Seeking advice on goal setting.

Dear entrepreneurs, For background im a 23 yr old uni student. I dont understand how goal setting works when it comes to your lifestyle. I want to start my own online business and make some income on the side so that I can do stuff, go places, maybe get a car, buy a new pair of shoes every now and then, take my mom to lunch or a small holiday. Just generally feel more confident and secure as a man. I dont want to have to sweat at the thought of my bank account balance constantly. Im not trying to be Bezos but just enough to do cool things and survive. I only really know that I want to have more money than I currently do now (I earn about 200 euro from work weekly so ideally i'd like to have an extra 300 or so) and I suppose that isn't quite enough to make a goal. I am learning web dev right now (from a course on udemy) not because I am passionate about websites and stuff but because I want to learn to make money building websites for people, the money being the main motivation. How do I make goals for myself so that I can stay on track and eventually make even one euro. I have never made money online before and I have trouble believing that it is even a playable feature in the video game that is my life but ive seen my brother do it so i have reason to believe its possible. I feel that my goals are too vague and not specific enough but how specific do I need to be? Is there some sort of template I can follow? I just want to make some kind of tangible plan that will take me from point A to point B in a given time frame but I feel lost with it all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

How to grow my clients in the app development business?

So I started my own mobile app development and consulting company where I have my own apps in the play store and develop apps for clients also. I've got an idea. I'd like to know what you think.

Hi everyone,My name is Jason and I love talking business. I love talking about early stage ideas. I love talking about strategy and I love talking about execution. And it doesn't matter if I stand to gain a dime from it. As a CPA and founder of a software company, I genuinely enjoy it.I was wondering if there would be any interest in a video podcast where I chat with other founders, including those who have just started, about their businesses and how things are going. During the scheduled podcast, we could have a live chat and take questions from those in the audience. In addition, we'll lean on the audience for ideas or feedback on approaches that are being discussed. We'll have regular check ins with our founders to see how things are going. We'd also invite experts to join us so that they can take questions on specific topics. And because I'm running a software company, I can keep you posted on what I'm struggling with at any given moment as well as solutions that I've discovered. We'll share knowledge on marketing, businesses and technical resources, and network with each other for our mutual benefit. We'll talk about trends and disspell myths (if we're qualified to do so).Maybe there are already a million channels that do this sort of thing, but I just thought that I'd reach out to see if the community would find value in this sort of interactive discussion. It would take place weekly at say 7PM CST. I've got some other ideas that might benefit the group as well.I'm not looking to change the world with such a channel. We'd only need a relatively small number of interested people to make it worth everyone's time. Sometimes entrepreneurship can be a lonely place, even with 1.1m people on /r/entrepreneur. Being able to talk through our problems or ideas in real time with others might be a welcome change. Thanks and have a great weekend! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

I Just Received My 5 Figure Check From A Client

Over the past year, I worked with a client who sells vinyl and custom clothing both online and in person. Now when I first met David 99% of his sales came from his actual in-store location; however, he really stressed to me that he want his online presence to be bigger as people are eventually going to move more and more into the online retail space. From there I told him I had understood and walked him through my process showing him how it's possible to grow your business and outrank your competition organically through Google. He was a little hesitant but he decided he was in because he needed to get up and running online as he was averaging 10 viewers on a good monthFast forward to over a year out, and David has really established himself with his stores growing on both fronts both online and in-person. At that point in time Id say his sales had migrated to be 80% in-person and 20% online and his website was seeing roughly 1200 visitors a month. Honestly, I was happier for David than I was proud of myself but the time had come for me to resign David's contract. I mentioned it to him and he took me into the back office where I displayed his growth metrics and how far he's come since we started and without any extra questions he pulled out a checkbook and said "Here's for SEO for the next year, make it happen" and proceeded to write me a check for $20,000. Honestly I couldn't believe it and even though the check is a year's worth of SEO it was the most I had ever received at a single time and I still think back to that exact moment.I'm literally shaking just writing about it. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

100% outsourced companies 2022

As I’m reading the 4 Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss I can’t help but think the idea is outdated. The online market is so oversaturated with the drop shopping and eBook fads that it seems next to impossible to find a niche product that actually sells.Sure, I could try to do what everyone else does and sell Chinese bracelets on TikTok but I don’t see that being able to support a livable income, even overseas in 3rd world countries.Currently I am hoping my pressure washing side business becomes profitable enough to support itself and grow that into a positive cash flow but I can’t help but be fixated on the 100% outsourced business model that Ferriss advertises.Does anyone do this in 2022? Any advice on how someone would begin the process in todays world? Any input will be appreciated, positive or negative, thanks. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

Does this new business name suck?(Luxuriant Clean - Update)

Original post: https://ift.tt/Iz7Undu. So I took your brutally honest advice and decided to explore other name ideas.Top Idea: Mama’s House CleaningI feel this fits well with the locations SEO. It’s also easy to remember and easy to say. Also, for those that are saying my mom should pick the name: she’s an older Italian lady that doesn’t care what the business is called. She just wanted to clean homes lol..MY CONCERN:There’s a local pizzeria called “Mama’s Pizza”. Most of the locals call it “Mama’s”. Will this be a problem, and is this gonna cost me business? I already snatched the domain name for Mama’s House Cleaning, and did a business entity search for my state and it’s available.I appreciate all the feedback. Thanks. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

BRUTAL Feedback on my Customer Acquisition Strategy (for Digital B2B Product)

Hi Fellow Entrepreneurs,I am working on a business - got just over $5k in savings (down from $23k).. and I need to start making SALES asap. Not crappy sales for regular web dev fixes (which is what I’ve been doing for a long time) - but sales in a “growth consultant/digital marketing” type role - not sure if that makes sense.I’ve been working with a client in the real estate space (subset of real estate) - and gotten awesome results - armed with this case study I’m going out into the market - facing my fears etc.I wanted to share my customer acquisition strategy and looking to get brutal feedback from the community (devil’s advocate.. as well as maybe some support) on any ways I can improve - any short sighted issues. So here we go - this is my strategy (because keep in mind the moment someone hears “digital” over the phone they repulse in horror and hang up)Step 1: “Research Call”I call my target company in a research capacity - saying I’m putting together a product for that segment (which is true) and if they would have a few minutes to answer what their biggest challenge is in certain areas - then I thank them - and send them an email with a summary of convo.Step 2: Creating a PresentationThis will be a presentation I will send based on what I discovered and my conclusion (which is a KPI product to measure certain metrics to be able to make informed decisions - and once that is installed it would be clear who is producing results and who is not)Step 3: Follow up call and appointment setThis is where I would make a call and set an appointment with the clientStep 4: Zoom CallOn this call I would speak with the client - listen to their challenges and demonstrate my KPI system working on my client’s end to show them how it works - and get a commitment from them to proceed with me to setup this dashboard - I would not charge them for this but would require them to provide me certain data - I would find out who the stakeholders are that have that data and do a follow up call if necessary as well as follow up emails etc.Step 5: Agreement signed and commitments createdWould send them the agreement which would outline their commitment to provide me the data sources to setup the KPI dashboard as well as confidentiality stuff.Step 6: Create the dashboardI would create a live dashboard showing all the critical required numbers.Step 7: Zoom MeetingAt this point with trust created, in the interest of reciprocity I would make my ask for a program (which I will put together - but it would be some conversion rate optimisation, some list revival, some content or whatever it would be - but I would make my close here)---If I could create this system I would have a funnel that would generate and (hopefully) help me make my first $10,000 per month.I’d love to go on the journey here - but also - I’d love to hear from people who have had mindset blocks around money - specifically those that have suffered from mental health issues/growing up in poverty/abuse and who have been able to succeed despite of these things.P.S. I know this is a bit of a long post - it’s hard to find people who have done sales funnels at the level that I’m doing and discuss and just chat - especially people that I have a good vibe with. I want to create my first profitable funnel that just works and hoping to speak to others who are either in the same boat or who have done it all ready and are willing to check out what I’m doing. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

What is your story on how you begin your business and career and any advice to give those not knowing where to begin.

I’d like to read your stories about how you began your business, how it’s going, what you’ve learned along the way and what you plan to do with it in the future. Any advice you have to those starting out and not knowing where to begin, (myself being one of them), is greatly appreciated.I would personally like to open an arcade. I know an arcade is somewhat of a dying business model but around my area I’ve seen more pop up as a “Barcade”. Typically it’s an arcade with a full bar and some locations serve food, some don’t. Im not too keen on the “Barcade” model myself, and would like to hopefully make my arcade a place where people can hangout, relax, try new games/consoles, play older games that aren’t accessible without emulation and even have local game competitions. How do I start overall? Not just in opening an arcade, but starting a business in general? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

I want to start an online business, but I have no idea what to focus it on. I have nothing to start with but my time and no clue what to get into.

I've been wanting to start an online business for a long time now, but I have no idea what kind of business or service to get into. I have nothing but time on my hands, no resources backing me up. I'm not sure what kind of products to get into or even how to source them and get them to customers. I have no clue what I'm doing or what my first step should be or even can be. I wish there was a simple course I could take to help me understand what I need to do to get started, but also I need help identifying what I can get into. My current job is remote, but it doesn't make a lot of money. My goal is to be fully independent in five years with a business, but of course I have no clue what I'm doing. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

How to help husband with start-up business?

Hello all! My husband is starting up a pressure washing business (he did this work previously for 2 years) and I would love to help him grow. I have some connections that could be perspective clients but I have no idea how to pitch them. I’m also looking for ways to grow his business in general. Any advice on how I can do this or ways to support the business in general? Thank you in advance! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

I need a little guidance about designing a product. Specifically along the lines of a dog back pack. Something like an adjustable harness with a few packs attached. Where would you go to get this designed. I’m attempting to teach myself AutoCAD but so far it’s not going well… to say the least.

Basically I’ve never designed anything, and I’m not much of an artist. I’ve made logos, and drop shipped items with my logo but I’ve never gotten a product from my head to a real life object. So I need a little process help. I’m looking for some advice from those of you who may have some guidance? So far the closest I’ve got is some possible collaboration with some students at the local engineering department in my town. I’m told it could be used as a capstone project but may take up to a year so I kinda don’t want to wait that long. However, I love the story of helping college kids achieve their goal while helping me achieve mine.Thoughts? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

For Creatives who struggle with marketing

Or if you aren't making the kind of money you want to make.Megan Macedo talks about the Business Paradigm (BP) and the Artist Paradigm (AP). Megan’s paradigm busting philosophy set my mind on fire. She helped me connect the dots as to why some content was amazing for me and why some was about as useful as my old Sony Walkman.Paradigms, Shifts, and What To Do When They BreakFirst, what the hell is a paradigm? In Joel Arthur Barker’s book Paradigms: The Business of Discovering the Future, he said a paradigm is a set of rules and regulations that do two things: It establishes and defines boundaries; and it tells you how to behave inside the boundaries in order to be successful.“A paradigm, in a sense, tells you that there is a game, what the game is, and how to play it successfully.” So, when you ‘shift’ or break a paradigm, you have a new game and new rules. This means if you’re trying to get your coaching business going, or if you sell courses, or want to take your biz to the next level, you need to know which rules to play by.My goal in writing this is to give you the tools to:Enjoy marketing.Play a bigger game!Earn more money.Turn your clients and prospects into fanatics. The Business ParadigmWhen most people start a business they instinctively use the Artist Paradigm. The problem is gurus, most schools, and just about all companies follow the rules of the Business Paradigm.Macedo said the rules of the traditional Business Paradigm say:The thing that counts is the work you get paid for.Your number one job is to serve the market and build the business. The guiding question is, “What will generate a profit?”Maybe you’ve heard some of Business Paradigms greatest hits? BP people love to talk about:Scaling. How rich you’ll get.Metrics.SEOOften while using over-blown used car-salesman like hype! I don’t mean to rag on the Business Paradigm but… Well, maybe a little.Scaling and those things DO have their place. And honestly Business Paradigm tactics are the safest way to build your business. That’s why there’s so many experts selling you their products. For Linkedin marketing you need this…For Facebook marketing you need that…For Facebook Messenger marketing you need this…Products like these are OK but this type of approach is ALL REACTIONARY. Internet gurus will have you buying their apps, books, and courses FOR-EV-ER! It’s like Groundhog Day but the money in your checking account keeps getting smaller. The Business Paradigm is based on setting up a system so you can get away from the work (hire a manger, contractors, employees, etc.) and build the next thing. Or go hang out on an island with Tim Ferriss. The Artist Paradigm is the exact opposite. It’s about getting deeper into the work. The Artist ParadigmIn the Artist Paradigm, Macedo’s rules are:The thing that counts is your real work, your art, the work you care deeply about that only you can do. Questions about which parts of that work you can get paid for are important but they come later.Your number one job is to serve the work and build a body of work you can be proud of.The guiding question is not “What will generate a profit?” The guiding questions is, “What’s worth doing even if it fails?”How many coaches do you know that coach just to make a buck? I’m sure they’re out there but I haven’t met any. The coaches I know do it because they know something that can help people and they want to share what they know. This is true about most artists and skilled producers like photographers, consultants, make-up artists, marketers, trainers, web developers, etc. Most photographers I know didn’t turn pro because the world needs more photographers, they did it because they love photography. For years I wasted time focusing on Business Paradigm stuff and NOT building a body of work to be proud of. For a while I was consumed with…What will make the biggest profit? What does my market really want? What’s my exit strategy?I’d built it, little or nothing would happen, and then I’d start over. I felt like a dog chasing it’s tail—with NONE of the satisfaction. Creating a product and building my business around it didn’t work for me. Instead I focused on my message, passion, inspiration, and desires FIRST, and then went after my audience. Some of us are naturally suited more towards one paradigm than the other. For example I think Las Vegas real estate developer Steve Wynn is an excellent leader. He’s creative and he’s got epic vision and good taste. He’s also a Business Paradigm guy. What he does is wonderful but I’m not built like him.My DNA is 100% Artist Paradigm! The AP is more fundamental and it’s more aligned with creativity and the laws of nature. AP leaders that I model are people like Stan Lee, Walt Disney, Oprah Winfrey, and Hugh Hefner. They had a vision for a change they wanted to make, then they spent much of their lives making it happen. The Artist Paradigm guide to getting your shit togetherYour work is 100% selfish. You do it for YOU and your own curiosity and desires. I draw everything from superheroes to bikini models and I read marketing stuff everyday. I do it because I love doing it. Not because the market needs more of it.Your marketing starts with you and your story. How did you get here? It doesn’t have to be a big and awe-inspiring rags to riches tale either. Copywriter John Carlton said this could be as simple as three sentences. You just need: The set up, the action, and the resolution—and you can expand on them later. This is important because anyone can copy your site or your product or service but they can’t duplicate your story.Be bold and clear about what you do and the problem(s) you solve. Are you a Weight-loss Coach or do you help women over 40 lose 20 pounds or more? Simplify it and make it so clear an 8 year old would know what you do.Stand for something. The marketplace is overcrowded and very noisy. Communicating what you stand for sets you apart from all the clones and wanna-bees out there who are trying to be everything to everybody. For example look at The Oprah Winfrey Show. Oprah’s goal was to bring light into her viewer’s lives. She knew that would never happen while she was doing shows on the KKK and husbands who cheated on their wives… So she changed! And whether it was her talk show, book club, or cable network her goal remained the same.Standing for something matters because it connects you to your audience on a deeper level. It will attract like minded people who will love your message and want to rally behind it. And then when you connect it to your service or offer, it takes the hard selling out of the equation.Simon Sinek Was RightSimon Sinek’s famous TED talk, How Great Leaders Inspire Action is must-see TV—his presentation has over 57 million views! In his talk he explains why some leaders and companies inspire and form bonds with customers and why some don’t.At the heart of Sinek’s message is this: People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it. Your WHY is bigger than WHAT you are selling.“The reality is, strengths can be copied. It’s true for your company, and also for you. Products can be replicated. Benefits can be improved upon, secret formulas uncovered, winning systems beaten. People can outdo your strengths. But nobody can outdo who you are. Your personality is the only aspect of your work that nobody can copy. People can copy your product, your pricing, your actions, your recipe or program or formula. But they can never replicate who you are. Who you are is the greatest differentiator you’ve ever had.”― Sally HogsheadIt’s easy to look at industry juggernauts and think they had it easier than we do today. Oprah didn’t set out to own a network or have a book club in the beginning. She only had her WHY and she was using Artist Paradigm thinking…“What do I care deeply about and what’s worth doing even if it fails?”She wanted to inspire people so that decision led her from being a news anchor to hosting AM Chicago. Which led her to the Oprah Winfrey Show, which led her to starring in the movie the Color Purple, which led to…One brick on top of another, on top of another, on top of another…What work do you care deeply about? If you could choose a movement or right a wrong, how do your skills, beliefs, desires, and your personality make you unique to do it?And once you start on this path something strange happens… Marketing gets easy! You send e-mails and people talk back to you and buy stuff. You stop getting ghosted for strategy sessions and appointments. People come to you!I would love to tell you that the Artist Paradigm approach is the express elevator to wealth or success. It’s not. Honestly, it may take a little longer! But the difference is, your success is nearly guaranteed.IF, you don’t quit. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

Opening a Broker-Dealer?

I need advice with opening a broker dealer. I already am aware of the process of opening one. I wanted to get advice from people who own or at least work at a broker-dealer. I can’t be a prime brokerage yet, but I do intend to take deposits at the start of 2023 in addition to being an NFA forex firm since that’s my area of expertise. I would file to open the firm in August of this year however. I also own a business already with a good credit history now, but in the beginning the business was failing. Currently I attend college in Philadelphia as well as being from the city. There’s a lot of risks to opening a dealer where I am:—it would be in West Philadelphia which is an economic wasteland practically —it would be funded by me entirely —I’d have multiple other businesses under a holding company umbrella. —** I would most likely have monopoly power over the area as I’d be the only broker-dealer in this specific area. I can’t confirm that, but I strongly believe people would have no other choice but to come to me since banks have avoided this area LIKE THE PLAGUE except for Citizens Bank —I’d have other businesses set up to help build the economy (cafes, supermarkets, agriculture, some mining quarries I found dirt cheap around PA) which would again be under a holding company which I would split off into their own companies later. —This is a QOZ, but despite that no one is investing here hence why I’d have monopoly power. People want to leave not come.I feel like I’m insane, but I really don’t want to be the person who “escaped the hood”. I want to help my community because it’s crumbling and I want to scream and if I have the money to at least try to jump start an economy here and give more access to credit and consulting services to help my community businesses thrive, then by all means I’m willing to risk all of my capital or even put myself back in the negative. I can start from 0 again. There’s more of course. This is quite personal to me and I don’t want to splurge and give a life story. I’m outlining a plan that I want to hop on BEFORE I graduate, but I just really want to get other people’s experiences mainly who opened a broker or are working for a broker-dealer. There’s not many resources online. Most of the resources I’ve read were directly from FINRA and the SEC.Thank you in advance, this post was all over the place. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy

Music Lessons

I'm a music producer, been doing it for about 7 years, went to music school, worked with bigger artists etc... I want to start giving music production lessons as a side project to make some extra income. Any solid ideas out there for marketing/getting clients? I've made flyers and started posting them around my area, but wondering if anyone has better ideas.Any music teachers in here who started from scratch? Wondering how long it took you to build up your biz and a consistent stream of students. Thanks see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
