Over the past year, I worked with a client who sells vinyl and custom clothing both online and in person. Now when I first met David 99% of his sales came from his actual in-store location; however, he really stressed to me that he want his online presence to be bigger as people are eventually going to move more and more into the online retail space. From there I told him I had understood and walked him through my process showing him how it's possible to grow your business and outrank your competition organically through Google. He was a little hesitant but he decided he was in because he needed to get up and running online as he was averaging 10 viewers on a good monthFast forward to over a year out, and David has really established himself with his stores growing on both fronts both online and in-person. At that point in time Id say his sales had migrated to be 80% in-person and 20% online and his website was seeing roughly 1200 visitors a month. Honestly, I was happier for David than I was proud of myself but the time had come for me to resign David's contract. I mentioned it to him and he took me into the back office where I displayed his growth metrics and how far he's come since we started and without any extra questions he pulled out a checkbook and said "Here's for SEO for the next year, make it happen" and proceeded to write me a check for $20,000.
