I just had this realization the other day- my company has officially survived the pandemic! We do recruiting work in a healthcare niche. It’s high volume and our customers are typically on long term plans because they need as many hires as they can get. We’re not sourcing, we’re just contacting all the applicants they get and doing all the legwork. We switched to a new, flexible model where they were only charged for qualified candidates who show up. It went over sooo well. We’d work for them 7 days a week, but they only got charged for show ups. Everyone was thrilled. We were actually going to make more money, but it felt like an amazing deal to our customers….That was in Jan 2020.The next year and a half was hell. No one was showing up. No one wanted these jobs. It didn’t matter what we did- the pay for these jobs couldn’t compete with federal unemployment. Can’t blame people for not wanting to do it.We had customers go months at a time without paying us a dime, meanwhile we worked 15-20 hours a week for them. The labor shortage beginning in Aug 2021 was the final blow. We almost didn’t make it. I officially ended the flexible plan and went back to a monthly flat fee, whether the people show up or not. I only gave our customers two weeks’ notice. I thought for sure people would hate it and it would kill us, but it was our only choice. It was certain death or almost certain death.Well, now our Q1 revenue is more than double the same time last year. Feb 2022 is our highest revenue month ever (our previous highest was march 2020). March 2022 is the first month in over a year and a half where I paid myself my full salary AND we didn’t post a loss.I did it, you guys. I rebuilt my business from the ground up- brand, name, methods, pricing- and it’s working. We officially survived the pandemic and we’re finally thriving again! I just had to celebrate! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
