Any Youtube full-timers here?

I am curious about starting up a channel but I've never come across solid info about the income reality for this kind of thing. Social blade tells me some youtubers makes anywhere from $10k-$150k a year. How about a guy like ActionKid? A youtuber that for years, used to walk the streets of NYC and talk about what he is seeing and give tidbits of info like a tour guide but more casual. Now he is so succesful that he moved to the most expensive city in the US, Miami and will continue to do the same thing. What is stopping someone else from doing the same thing? Why are there not more AK style channels in different cities? And how profitable really is this sort of thing 1st year, 2nd year, and beyond? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
