After launching my Buy For Life platform on HackerNews, I collected and grouped all suggestions and critics on a Miro-board and immediately started working on the "low hanging fruits" like bugs or simple design changes. One week later, I realised that I crossed the mark of over 3000 signups, and I never even thought about sending an email newsletter, or at least it hasn't been a priority yet. I guess it would be a great way to increase user retention and let them find out about new products and features. If I would allow businesses that have been vetted to offer special offers to my mailing list which you get an affiliate fee for, this could even be a monetization strategy (Of course I would be fully transparent about that to my customers). As an indie maker and developer, I sometimes focus too much on adding new features and completely forget about the simplest marketing strategies.Do you know this conflict? How much time do you allocate to marketing vs product development? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
