For the past five years I’ve been trying my hardest at entrepreneurship. To this day I still have not passed $30,000 in income (in a year), and I’m wondering if it’s because I am not working hard enough or perhaps I need to change things around. For the entire time that I’ve been self-employed, my biggest and only form of advertising and marketing myself has been cold telephone prospecting. When I tell people how hard I work and what it is that I have to put up with every day over the phone to get business, they assume I’m swimming in money for what I go through. Along with that, I practice my sales Scripts and objections every day.I’m in the real estate industry now, the area I live in has roughly 22,000 people living there and I genuinely feel stuck. Part of me feels like I’m not working hard enough, the other half feels like I’m just doing something wrong as far as how I am going about getting and scaling clients.Any feedback would be appreciated.TL/DR:I’ve been an entrepreneur for five years and have primarily done telephone prospecting to grow my business and I feel stuck because of my lack of income and comparison to how hard I work.
