They have an incredibly low cost, so low they don't even assemble furniture for you. Their stores are in cheap locations. Also, the shopping experience is a perfect fit for mothers, families, and students. Many families would prefer to take their kids to ikea because their kids love it, and so do they. This business increase value by the fun experience they offer(does not cost extra money to do), and they reduce their cost of product to dirt cheap.A: lower cost as much as possible. B: increase value for customer as much as possible. Basically, make value by good experience because it cost very little (product design, product benefits, customer experience). Is the general idea success depends on these two things(decrease cost, increase value), in order to create the most valuable offer? Everything else is just a means to an end, I need to figure out how to optimize and use whatever I can to lower cost everywhere, and make the customer's experience more fun.
