My previous company that I had been working on for 4 years evaporated in March, so after laying off most of the team and 6 months of despair, I needed a new challenge. Something that would get me away from days of isolation filled with weed, netflix and the negativity of social media.I've been thinking about my most recent company since August - I wanted a way to bring people together when we are anything but. As I turned my brain fart into an ecom company learned shopify, hired and fired many coders, UI/UX, connected databases, the pricing strategy, the imagery, allll the recruitment.... But now I've hit the wall, and spent the money. I was supposed to be online in September but I've had a few challenges: typhoons in Asia, a couple of thieving outsourcers, supplier issues, employees' (and my own) covid challenges, have all meant we only just launched at halloween. And we still don't have any clientsI know start ups are tough as I've done several before, but this has been next level crazy. I've been working 80,90,100+ hours a week over several timezones (South America & Asia) for 4 months and I'm just exhausted. Now is supposed to be the busiest time of the year, but we've sold a total of two items (ever) and I find myself too drained to have meetings about Social Media engagement - especially as social media is exactly the thing I was avoiding in the first place!Could you give me some pointers on any (!) of the above but most importantly can you let me know what's missing from the site? We are advertising on FB and getting (some) visitors, but nothing's even made it to the shopping cart. Where are we going wrong?TLDR: Very close to shuttering another business in 2020 and chalk it up to experience, rather than spending even more money to chase the sunk cost see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
