Help with getting a textile prototype created.

Hey entrepreneurs - I recently came up with an idea that would take an existing textile product & adding a simple tweak to it, making it a lot easier to use. I'm looking to get a prototype created, however, I can't really find where to start.I started by taking the existing version (that's already being sold) to a few seamstresses in my area, but it seems none of them provide that service. Also tried sites like Upwork thinking I can hire someone, but seems to be no avail.Learning how to sew myself seems pretty inefficient as the product already exists. Does anybody have experience getting a textile prototype created & if so, how'd ya do it? If you did get something created, how were you able to get it to a point to mass-produce it?
