Holiday season side hustle questions

Hi guys,I stumbled upon a November-December seasonal side hustle last year, and I was wondering if yall would have some suggestions to help me grow this into something more. After a long hiatus, I recently got back into woodcarving, which was a childhood pastime. In winter 2019, I made about 700 in sales, mostly selling a single Santa Claus figurine design exclusively on Etsy. This year, I decided to start promoting my work in September (I know that’s pretty early), so I created a Facebook page and spent about 100 bucks on Facebook and Etsy marketing from September until today, which is the end of November. In that period, I’ve made about 700 in sales. Based on last year’s numbers, I expect December to bring a decent increase in sales, but here’s where I need help:I sell the figurines for $40/piece. Each one costs me about $7 for materials/packing/shipping. Etsy charges a listing fee of .20 and also 5% of my total sales price. It takes 1.5 hours to make each one, from block of wood to packed up and ready to go. You can see that with these numbers I’m only making about 20 bucks an hour. Depending on how effective/ineffective my ads are, it might be even less than that.Although I’m passionate about woodcarving, mass producing the same figurine by hand sucks. Should I consider outsourcing the carvings?Over the past two holiday seasons, I’ve sold about 35 of these figurines. If I can sell 35, shouldn’t I be able to sell 350 or 3,500? It’s hard to believe that there’s only 35 people in the US who are interested in this product at this price point. I’ve tried to drum up more business with ads, but based on my conversion rate of 1%, they don’t seem to be effective.I’d be grateful for any helpful thoughts. Here’s my shop link.I’ve also created a website , but understandably, people seem hesitant to trust a random website with their money and probably prefer to use Etsy. This costs me 2% of sales. Thanks for reading! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
