Considering starting a small group for people to talk..

Hello everyone.. I’m currently a college student who is interested in becoming an LPC. I am still an undergrad student, but close to graduating. I have considering hosting, organizing and moderating a group of people who get together a few times a month to discuss topics surrounding issues like mental health, confidence, relationships, physical health, body positivity, etc. We would do it through zoom or something since COVID. I’m thinking of meeting once or twice a month to every week (depending on how people feel / what they want). I am considering but don’t know if I’m allowed to charge people to be in this group. I want it to be a mix of group therapy (without it being therapy because I am not licensed to run that), friend group, support group and somewhere we can feel comfortable to chat about issues. Similar to how an AA group or Al-Anon group runs, but we maybe don’t need to worry about privacy as much. The charge wouldn’t be much at all, and a portion of the funds would go to care packages for the members, reading materials and additional time on Zoom (if needed). However, because I am going to be putting my time and effort into this I would like to be compensated for my time (AS long as this is legal of course). Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations, advice or experience with this. Thank you!! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
