I bought a 1920s brick and mortar, plaster and lath townhome three years ago. It has natural gas and was flipped by a home remodeler in 2016, but it was their first ever project which is partly why I'm asking this question. I thought this might be a good place to ask since a lot of home flippers seem to hang out here.I know some older homes can contain asbestos behind the walls and lead paint, but are there any other toxins or hazards associated with older homes that maybe this home remodeler wouldn't have known to check for? Is there anything I should be looking out for as a potential health hazard?Part of my concern is that recently I've had a huge increase in anxiety and "flight or fight" mode feelings. It's almost scary how often I get panic attacks out of nowhere and it feels like it only happens when I'm home. I've been working from home because of covid and it really only began to happen within the last year. I began wondering if there could be any issues in my house that could lead to neurological issues like anxiety... Lead paint? Carbon monoxide? Asbestos? Anything like that?Would a home inspection pick up on any of those things? I had one performed prior to my purchase. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
