Let start by saying I'm planning on talking to my legal advisor about this in the next couple days, I just also wanted to know what other entrepreneurs have done in this situation as well.So I've been working on this custom cabinet that is designed to take the place of the rear seats in a 4 door pick-up. Ive hit a road block where manufacturing this myself is not in the cards. I've decided to reach out to a local aluminum manufacturer to see if they were interested in it. Before I unveiled the cabinet I got them to sign a NDA/non-compete that I was able to get off lawdepo.com. They are very interested in the cabinet and want to move to the next step. The next step being looking over the detailed CAD drawings ive created to better understand the cost of manufacturing and to better organize a proposal. My question is what other steps, if any should I take to better protect my "invention" before giving them detailed drawings? What have you guys done in the past? Is the generic online NDA enough? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
