For those that lost a lot of money, what happened?

Don't know if this is a sour topic, but was wondering if people could share their experiences of losing a lot of money, how they dealt with it, and whether they earned it back and or able to learn valuable lessons that helped them later on from repeating bigger mistakes. For me, I've lost maybe $20k in my life from garbage stocks, dropping out of university amongst other things like getting ripped off (badly) at a tailor shop in Thailand by the most lethal sales animals on the olanet . But I felt like it has made me more tolerable to taking risks and learned a few things in life which had helped me make better decisions overall. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
