Hi! I am software dev by profession and currently doing a job which provides me well enough.A job does not give me a sense of ownership and I always feel I should put my skills to use for myself.I have been looking for ways to do this but haven't been able to find any. Spending a lot of time pondering what I can do, I realized I might not be smart enough yet to build a unique SAAS solution yet. While researching I saw that there is a good market online for web based software solutions, developers sell software solutions like CRMs, stock management systems and what not online on markets like envato. After some thought and technical analysis, I felt I too should be able to build similar functional and competitive solutions and probably sell them online.I understand that the selling prices are too low (~60$) but the activity would give me a functional solution in hand which I could probably sell at better pricing offline or online through my own site.I would then go on creating more solutions and increase my portfolio.I could also probably get some custom work from the people purchasing my solution and help me kickoff into freelancing.I am just worried that does this approach towards some side income sounds viable? I might invest a lot of time, would definitely have to give this a few months but I am unsure of the outcome of the efforts I put in.Do let me know your thoughts on the above.I am also interested to know If there is something else I can do as a software dev to generate some side (+passive) income apart from the above. Thanks! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
