We have been around for about 9 months, but we started selling three months ago.We were surprised that we managed to get to $20k MRR so fast, so we hired and now we're growing faster than we can manage. The idea of an exit was surely on our mind, but we didn't expect we should consider that so fast.A PE firm expressed interest in buying us out for $3M and we don't know what to do. We are surprised but we are also not: we deal with a tech / financial niche and what we do could give PE massive data visibility to take educated investment decisions. We know that by end of Q1 we'll be at $50k MRR, so we might be worth more.At the same time, $3M for 9 months worth of work is something that's making us think. My question is not whether we should sell or not (we know this is an answer that we should figure out ourselves). But it's more about the valuation - does $3M sound like a good deal if you want to exit so fast? Or does such a quick offer mean that we might be able to snatch a much better offer if we kept going for a bit longer?Anyone had a similar experience? What did you do? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
