Quitting a high salary job to start a business?

This is a very common theme I’ve seen, but I wanted to use this thread to collect stories and advice.I’m a mid 20s engineer, making 6 figures and don’t have any debt. The job I’m in is not my passion at all, and at one point I came close to quitting because of the stress, but thankfully do to job role changes and moving up in my field, I’m still pursuing this path for now.I also want to get married, buy a house, and have kids. Usually having kids is not something necessarily planned for, but I want to make sure I can afford to send them to school. My partner also makes 6 figures as an engineer and they would support my choices. I have a lot of questions in mind as to how to start and when to start. I have a strong feeling my business will be successful, but I can only know for sure if I try.I wanted to see if anyone has ever been in a similar situation and either started and failed, started and succeeded, or didn’t start at all! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
