Hi, I have been working on a social media network for quite a while now. It's available right now even at shareon.me, but that's not the point. The idea for the website came to me in 2013 when I noticed a lot of social media gimmick apps were popping up all the time. Then I thought to myself: maybe it's possible to make a social media network that can have all possible gimmicks in an organized manner. I worked to make it happen. I asked dozens of people among many questions what their thoughts were on post types and 3rd party developers constantly adding more. Their response was largely positive (50% loved it, 40% were apathetic and 10% disliked). I made systems in place to satisfy the 10% as well to give easy filtering options that are better than any other social media website currently. After 5 long years, I achieved my goals. I can even have 3rd party developers add their gimmicks on my website right now. But! When my friends went on the platform, they posted for 2 hours, left and never came back. There were 6 very noticeable problems: 1. Lack of anonymity made the users less likely to share content freely. 2. No clear incentive or reason to post content. 3. When you upload a post it feels like randomly writing on a wall without purpose. 4. The design isn't that good looking. 5. Lack of content (by not having users in the first place) 6. Tagging was too confusing.I already solved 3 and 6 I believe. But after thinking for a while, I came to the conclusion that this website should be a social media platform where you can create your own social media platform, that way 2 and 5 will no longer be problems. However, after talking online with a few, the responses I got were clear. It's a cool idea, but I wouldn't use it personally, I'm happy with what I have.On the one hand, I have most people I interviewed love the idea of multiple post types to choose from and on the other lack of interest.Any advice? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
