How to vet a vending machine route?

There is a vending machine route for sale in my area. As I look for ways to build wealth, on the surface this seems like a good opportunity but I would definitely need to make sure it's legit.Topline details are- 10 machines, all located within 5 miles of each other. Route grosses 40k per year and takes between 5 and 10 hours a week to run.I'm guessing with a gross is 40K the net profit is around 20k. Asking price is 35K- but it's been for sale for a while.If I'm going to seriously consider this I would need to ask the owner for documentation but would love to hear what else I could do to make sure this is a good fit.
