Currently, my “company” teeters on the edge of freelance. My work is contact based and I hire teams based around the contract. It’s a lot like construction work in terms of business model. Even start-up costs are similar. The work is also fairly seasonal. The first year, I spent just building the structure and basic principles of the entity. While generating and signing contracts for future work. Networking, building teams, signing contracts and strategic planning, that was the day-to-day (and of course the obligatory financial stuff). I was on track to double my initial investment in three months. Then quarantine hit and my industry came to a complete halt.I was so wrapped up in the momentum created from the initial start-up that I’m not sure what I was really doing to be successful. Whatever it was, it just came natural and I just dove into the work.Currently, things are starting to rebound with quarantine relaxing in some states. I’m just not sure where/how to dust things off. I could use some... inspiration? I’m looking for a few general principles on what to focus on in a year-two restart. What should my daily routine look like in broad terms? Maybe there’s a good book to read?Any post-quarantine advice would be a plus. I know markets are completely shifting and no one really knows what’s going on, but, you know, carpe diem. And it really is a restart. Most of the clients/contracts I generated pre-quarantine were either one-offs or haven’t been looking for new contracts since. The silver lining, I haven’t really lost anything, things just... froze. Is anyone out there generating new leads? What’s your daily hustle look like?Appreciate the advice in advance. Thank you. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
