Do I need US business registration to sell items made outside the US?

Hi, I manufacture electronics and I'm based out of the US. However, I regularly sell to US (and Canada) customers and since most of my items are small (in size and sometimes in price too), it is uneconomical to ship them to a single customer. The paperwork alone costs more than the items. I was thinking of contracting a 3PL and fulfillment service in the US but I was hoping someone can let me know if I need a US business registration/license to this? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
