Do i need a NY certificate of status?

I'm a single member LLC and I got in the mail that I need a certificate of status and pay $82 to get this and its from NY certificate service. Deadline is before October 2nd but im not sure if i have to. I haven't laucnhed my busienss yet since im setting some stuff up. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
