Want to go forward with plans to start a Amazon FBA business, but would like to use recycled materials/made in USA. Is it worthwhile to use an American manufacturer?

So I want to start selling something on Amazon that I think fills a small niche and will hopefully be successful, but I want it to use recycled materials and don’t necessarily want to manufacture it in China (for both the headache of having to import it in and for the fact that I can advertise it as “made in USA”). I basically want to make a really well-manufactured product that is well thought out and feels solid whereas all the competition is just pretty crappy and flimsy. My product will hopefully stand out based on the features that are incremental improvements over other products, but I thought it might also stand out more if it’s made out of recycled plastics and made in the USA.Making it out of recycled plastic is the most important thing and having it made in the USA is a secondary goal. Has anyone had any experience sourcing recycled manufacturing from China? The product is basically two plastic components both of which are pretty simply shaped. There’s definitely nothing intricate about the product. I would probably try to do like a 1,000 quantity initial run to see if the product is successful and then would go back for more volume if it sells well.I have never had anything manufactured before and it is by far the most intimidating part about getting started for me. Thank you for any help or insight you can give. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
