I am residing in California and currently use a virtual mailbox (shipping center) address as my business address. The business address is located in a different city from my actual home address. I get this error message when applying for the business license within that city:"The business address you have provided shows to be a UPS store mailbox, we cannot use a ups store, po box per State of California business & professions Code- Section 17538.5. If you have another valid physical business address we will then be able to move forward in updating the business address."To clarify, I do NOT have a UPS store mailbox. The shipping center is a locally-owned business operating for many years. Either way, I'm not sure if the distinction matters and I cannot use a shipping center in general. After all this, I am wondering if it's even necessary at this time to register for a city business address as I will only operate selling fully online on my own website. I was able to register for my federal EIN and seller's permit with the virtual address just fine with no issues. I don't want to have to deal with the city if they won't accept that virtual address and I don't think it makes sense the use my home address as my EIN and seller's permit will be in different cities.I hope I'm not too confusing. Thank you! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
