I'm in the US and have connected with a peer that is in the UK. Our interests and skill sets align and we are tentatively interested in starting a joint venture that would be based online and in the US, but he isn't familiar with US legal/tax system and doesn't want to devote the time and resources to accommodate it seeing as what we build might not even turn a profit.Are there any ways, without breaking the law, that he can be compensated without creating a complicated international tax situation?
