From the perspective of anyone who's 'been there, done that', I'm wondering what the best way to approach this is?I have an idea that is valuable. Im a business guy (MBA) and a fan of tech and crypto, but I'm no coder or software engineer. My idea requires at least one person with these skills to help me flesh this out, to at least make a prototype. My idea also requires a lot of just time intensive research, so in order to have some actionable product to at least demo, I need at least a little help. I wish I just had the perfect group of pals that would all just band together in a basement, knock it all out while enjoying laughs and brews, and in 6mo we get rich and never stop gettin' richer.... but I don't. I don't have a social circle that provides that anything like that, so I need to look externally.I'm getting lost in the weeds trying to figure out wtF to do with getting the this help. I don't have the side scratch to throw serious cash at this myself, though I can throw a skin-in-the-game worthy chunk in to match someone else. Bottom line is I need help, both in the labor and capital departments. So, what is the safest route? I thought about googling VC companies to contact. VCs seem like, if it works like it all purports to, they get you mixed up with likeminded people that can really do something special. But coming on here and reading, there are a fair number of horror stories... I don't know if I could really trust these people. Or at least, I'd need to know who is trustworthy from past teamed-up people with positive experiences. I also thought about using something like fiverr or taskrabbit to get someone to do the labor part cheaply, but in actually trying to do that... the people on there seem iffy if anything is more complicated than cut-and-paste, so I'm not sure I trust that either. Then of course I could just take a 1/2lb of adderall and just do everything myself so... idk. I just dont know what to do.Couple last points: 1) If I could get a solid chunk of cash, I would just hire legit people. 2) I do have an alum network but idk if thats valuable? I could get in contact with my school and maybe get in touch with some bright eyed near-grads that wont expect a ton that wanna get involved in something cool?Do I just start bugging aunts/uncles for seed money? Or just stfu and start playing the lotto see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
