Hello,I have recently had an itch to start a startup. I've done startups in the past, while in college, minor projects, three of them were successful and sold.I'm 28 yrs old now and have been working as a business solutions analyst. Pay is good, 6 figures and I like the company/environment.However, I haven't felt challenged for a while now. Which is why I started to focus on startups again, on my free time.My long term goal is run a successful startup and to help other entrepreneurs start one too.My conundrum is the following -I applied for a new role, at the same company, RPA Engineer. However, what skills I pick up here will not transfer to my startup. On my free time, I am re-learning HTML, CSS, JS and SQL. Pretty easy stuff, as I did PWA stuff in college. If I take the promotion, I will have to learn a bunch of technology that will not be a value add for me, long term.If I go the startup route, I will do the following - stay in my current role, for a year or less and focus on my startup on the side, which is doable as I have a lot of free time and no oversight as I have been working remotely since January of last year.Have you dealt with this before? What did you do? If you haven't, but were in my shoes, what would you do?Thanks! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
