I hate reading. I always have. Reading is the only thing that held me back from going to university rather than college. Whenever I was assigned to read a chapter in school I always tossed it aside. Now I’m at a point in my career where I have to study to pass an exam, and I absolutely can’t pull out the motivation to read 2 400 page textbooks through and through to be able to pass this exam. I also can’t take a course because they’re all canceled due to the pandemic. What I want to get to is this: everyone talks about reading books to acquire knowledge, develop your mind, and learn new skills. What I’m curious about is if watching YouTube videos offers the same reward. I can sit and watch YouTube videos endlessly, and to a lesser extent I like listening to podcasts (but I don’t grasp nearly as much without the visual stimulus).I feel like my only options are to either take sketchy courses, or rely on video/pod information to better myself. Books work for a lot of people, but they just aren’t for me.Is this a hopeless endeavour? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
