Hi all, I’ve had my bakery food truck business for about 2 years now, and for the most part things have been great up until recently. My business has been profitable, and my overhead has been really low. It’s definitely been a rollercoaster of me loving it one second, then despising it the next. We’ve had a lot of growing pains in the last few months (weird I know because of the current covid climate), and even though we are doing well financially, I don’t know how much more I can take.I currently bake everything on my own, which is equivalent to about 12 hours everyday on my feet. I have two employees that run the truck, but other than that it’s me and a little help from my family. It’s been hard for me to keep up as well as put my trust in the new employees, and they’ve definitely had some slip ups.On top of all of this doubt, my long term partner moved to a different state for a new job recently. This isn’t completely out of the blue, and we’ve talked about me relocating with him. I have a food truck so it seems like it wouldn’t be too difficult to make the move, but there’s a lot of excessive work I’d have to take on that makes me doubtful. My dad has specifically been a big help with my business, and without him I honestly don’t know if I could keep my business running on my own, and as mentioned before, it’s hard for me to trust people.I feel like I’m at a crossroads right now, and don’t really know what to do next with my business. I’ve been having doubts about it lately, but don’t know if every business owner feels this at some point. I don’t know if I should take my business to a different state with my partner? Or if this would be a good time to throw in the towel and try something else? Or if I should keep it going in my current city? I have decision fatigue to the max. I would like some advice and to know if you’ve struggled with business doubts. Did you keep going, or ultimately decide it was best to move on to something else? Or what do you think I should do?
