Does anyone have experience signing over IP (hard and software) from a completed outsourced project?

Hi all. We've hired a development firm in another country to develop hardware and software for an upcoming product, and need to get underway with generating paperwork to sign over the IP once the development is complete. Originally it seemed straightforward enough, however we now plan to work with the firm in the long run for updates and different releases of the software. We've always developed hardware and software in house, so this is a first for us. Has anyone done something similar, and what did the legal fees come to? Alternatively, did anyone write up a contract from scratch for a similar reason? Thanks. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
