I'm feeling a bit pissed and a bit wise right now.I'm feeling pissed because I've followed a bit of advice from other people when my instinct told me otherwise. After following that advice I realized it was most likely wrong - I should've followed my gut.I'm feeling wise because it was a very small mishap (wasted a small sum of money and a small sum of time) and yet the lesson I'm getting from it is huge. What lesson?STOP FUCKING LISTENING TO OTHER PEOPLE WHEN YOU KNOW BETTER!Just to make things clear I'm working on a software project. I've asked some people (pals and acquaintances) for some feedback and also received some without asking. Some of that feedback was good and I'm grateful for it.But because I got some good feedback I assumed ALL FEEDBACK was good. Which it wasn't. And it's natural, I and I alone know best in the end, since I'm the most familiar with my project and my goals. This is the second time I'm blindly following on some of that feedback even though it felt wrong.I hope I won't repeat this mistake a third time. I might, but I've started developing antibodies by now. :)And yes, I'll probably be wrong sometimes. But so will other people. And in the end, I'd rather make my own mistakes.PS: I'm not encouraging anyone to be delusional and/or ignore completely outside feedback. Judge for yourself the advice you receive and if it's worth following or not. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
