Ways of holding less inventory? As well as general questions for starting up

Hi,I am looking to sell some shirts that I feel would fill a gap in the market. I wanted to do drop ship, but none of the drop shipping companies had the material or style of shirt that I wanted (Hawaiian button up) so I am going through alibaba instead. This is going to require me to hold inventory on the shirts - which compared to drop shipping - is going to allow me to test the markets as easily with my product. I have heard someone mention something before about being able to ship my shirts to something like an Amazon fulfillment center and have orders route though there, and maybe there are similar services, is something like this a possibility and do you think it would be worth it to do that as to not have to mess with holding my own inventory? Also, if you have any advice on first time orders/testing the market/advertising with fashion let me know! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
