Of course I screwed up the title.. Sorry about that, I should really get some sleepHey I've been working on an app for the past couple of months. I was thinking about making an public open beta of my app and launching it on ProductHunt. If there would be any interest, I would then open a company and implement payments. I'm wondering if this is a smart idea or not? Problem is that I can't open a company right now because I'm a student so I don't want to risk losing my student benefits(such as free healthcare) and then be left with nothing if the app fails. I'm a bit afraid that someone might take the idea and create a new app by the time I can set everything up for a proper full launch.. What do you think? I pitched the idea to some of my friends and they all said that it's a really cool app, but unfortunately they aren't really my targeted audience so I can't be sure really...
