How to validate my idea with my target audience before I build my MVP?

I'm interested in creating an SaaS product aimed at Cloud/IT professionals in small to medium sized startup companies. I have a product idea that would solve a problem at my current job, but I'm still not sure whether other companies would experience the same issues, and whether this problem came about due to bad internal practices. Before I put work into my idea I'd like to validate my idea with my target audience, but I'm really not sure how to reach out to users? Especially without an MVP or anything to show yet!Do I fully lay out my idea and see what they think? Or do I be more open ended, asking them where their current pain points are in their current workflows and pivot to cover those? Do I reach out on LinkedIn? Reddit?
