So a friend of mine asked me to lunch today. He got approved for a franchise. The franchise is a high end security company with a lot of rules about everything basically, from equipment officers can carry to what vehicles you are allowed to purchase. To ownership training and what contracts we can and can't take. It's a rule nightmare. Don't get me wrong, a better company is needed around here because the current one is trash and can't keep up with demand and they will just throw a uniform on anyone. So here is my dilemma. He wants me to build it. In return I get 5% and basic PMC pay. After it is built to a certain level I will step down and get an addition 15%. Sounds like a good deal. High end private security is my field, but do I go back to work and spend 5 years building this company up? It will be a pain in the ass too. It will have contracts in 4 states which means negotiating with those states to allow my officers to work under one states licensing rules. Thankfully the state it will be in is stricter than the other states when it comes to licensing, and there are going to some contracts where only police, former police and/or military veterans can work it.On the surface it seems like a good company. They are worldwide. The deal seems good but the only company I have ran was my own and I sold it so I could retire. He is a good friend. I don't want to turn him down. I love the work but I love not doing anything also. Anyone got a better idea? How can I do this but not spend years working it? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
