Hey there! Infrequent Reddit user & first time posting, excuse any faux pas.So here’s the background:I cofounded a 100% remote direct-to-consumer brand in 2013 with no mentors, funding, or really any of what I was doing. Via the school of hard knocks, eventually built it into a thriving multi-million dollar business that employs about a dozen people. From being in the trenches, I’ve learned a lot.I’ve read hundreds of books: business books, self-help books, cognitive science, philosophy, fiction etc. Generally, I prefer to read things with practical application to improve my life. From studying books of this nature, I’ve learned a lot.Over the last 5 years, I’ve reached a level of success with our business that I once dreamt of. And along the way, I’ve learned powerful tools to make my life better: becoming more emotionally resilient, relief from anxiety, building a sturdier happiness, savoring life and more.By no means do I think I have it “all figured out”. Far from it. π
Acutely aware of that! But life is so much better than it was 5 years ago, I can hardly believe it when I zoom out. That brings us to today.I realized recently that I’d find it deeply satisfying if I could make someone’s life better by sharing some of what I’ve learned. And being an avid reader, I've always wanted to write a book. I thought I'd combine the two!So my goal is simple: write a short book that significantly improves the life of at least one person.Even if it's just one person, that'd be worth the effort. That person most likely being someone who cares about the same things (building a business, being happy, living well). I don’t care about making money from it or gaining clout. I’d probably write under a pseudonym. The selfish intent here is just the fulfillment I’d get from helping. That brings us to you!I would like your feedback. Below is a proposed Table of Contents for the book.WORKTHINK — An entrepreneur’s toolkit (working title)LIVEWORKOpen Loops, Your SystemMinimum Viable EverythingProduct:Market FitPrioritizationSystems PerspectiveLeverageTHINK“Should” ThoughtsTriple ColumnStoic FramesNot Your Mother’s MindfulnessLIVEYour BodyYour SleepAnnual Review & Goal SettingEmpathetic ListeningWorth-Remembering JournalBased on this ToC & the little bits of info above, does this sound like a book you would like to read? Why or why not?PS writing theme for the book would be short, informal, concise, & dense with applicable wisdom. Think James Clear. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
