I've been working with my church for a few months now to get them reopened and get their facility back to being useable following a large steam leak and COVID.Renovation was completed early this year but the leadership team hasn't moved on reopening, getting the facility cleaned up or other repairs until I got involved over the summer and began leading the reopening committee and doing repairs.I am a mechanical engineer with an EIT and some years on facilities engineering if that helps any. I will probably work on my professional engineer stamp next year.It started off with a small residential boiler in one building which was not safely operating. I was then asked to consult on multiple repairs and offered a job, which they rescinded immediately then reoffered this week.The job offer is capped at 3.3 hours a month which is for soliciting, reviewing and recommending vendors. It doesn't mention checking the work of vendors of managing the day to day.Currently I'm advising and soliciting quotes for them on a facility job which costs roughly 80k. All in all, it will probably take 2mil to renovate the campus and include major structural repairs.How do I politely tell them the hour max is absurdly low to the point of negligence and that they need a property manager who watches their projects from cradle to grave?Thanks. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
