How to make money with a travel website?

Hi,I have the idea of creating a new travel booking website for tours and full trip with a cool concept, but I wonder how should I make money from that. Maybe some of you have experience in this field and would love to know more about that.I know Booking.com and Getyourguide are making money on commissions. What I read is that each month a tour operator is sending 15-30% of their revenu to the booking company. What I don’t understand is :If you book a 15$ tickets on Getyourguide for example, the tour operator will only make like 12$. But the same tickets is 15$ on their own website, so they make more. Why are they still using booking website? Is it for visibility?Do you think it would work if a booking site take like 10% directly in each transaction instead of waiting each month and have higher price to better support the people making the tours? For example, on their website they show 45$, but on booking website it would show 49.5$ (4.5$ of service fees). Or maybe I should make people pay to show their tours on my site like a kind of subscription, so I wouldn’t have to deal with anything beside keep them paying to show their tours. But maybe they will never want to pay this kind of thing or making the price higher on my website would make people buy the tour on their official site, so no money for me...Gow special deals actually work? For example -20% on tour. Is the booking website paying the difference or is it the tour operator/maker who is deciding if making their price lower? When you refund someone (if he paid for free cancellation), what is refunded? The full price + free cancellation price (+10$) or is it only the full price without the cancellation option? Is the refund made from the booking website or the tour operator or both?Maybe those questions sound stupid, but I never got class in entrepreneurship and know nothing about creating a company.Thank you :) see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
