I have an idea that I want to turn into a product but have no idea how to execute

Essentially what the title states. I had an idea pop in my brain at work today. The idea would save the HVAC trade a good bit of money annually. Im actively working on a prototype in my garage. What step do I need to take to turn this into a on-the-shelf product? I've been looking around online but everyone seems to trying to get money out of me for an answer. Can someone direct me somewhere with real information on making my product a reality? I have ZERO experience with something like this and I realize its going to take some start up cash to get it off the ground. I just need the right information without jumping through hoops. Forgive me if this is the wrong sub. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
