How does one start a media franchise business?

Ambitious question, I know, but bear with me. I have been creating a fictional sci-fi universe. Within this universe, I have multiple (50+) story ideas that will eventually be either films or episodes in a longform style TV series.Eventually, I'd like to spin it off and create an entire media franchise, with films, video games, manga, action figures, and so on. Think Ghost in the Shell, Star Wars, Star Trek, The Matrix, etc. All of these media franchises have billions in revenue and a wide variety of products.Obviously this will take a long time and require significant financial resources. It isn't something one can just "start" as a single person. My question is: where do I even begin with this? Should I start by writing and creating a short film? Writing it all as a novel with a film adaption in mind? Start with a smaller product and expand from there? My first thought is to study how popular franchises got started, e.g., Star Wars, and follow a similar path.Hopefully that makes some sense. Thanks for any and all suggestions! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
