Hey peeps of this subreddit,I sell test prep courses online and my no. 1 acquisition channel is Instagram. Hashtags being the number one of the major sources of increasing my followers, I spent quite sometime on hashtags of each post. This wasn't the case when I started, I used to add the same hashtags and also throw in a few irrelevant ones. Using the same hashtags and irrelevant ones on all my posts resulted in my account being shadow banned for a while (or atleast this is what I am being told). Since then, I have been quite strategic with my hashtags, have built a repository by observing all the competitor pages as well as doing some keyword research. Maintaining this repository, going through it each time I post something and then making sure my hashtags are not being repetitive (atleast for a duration of multiple posts) is a pain in the ass. Which is why, I hacked together a tool which generates a random new combination of hashtags each time on the click of a button. It is quite unpolished right now. I am quite sure people using Instagram as an acquisition channel have faced this same issue. For those people, am I missing a better alternative already available online?
