First, I'm in a super niche business.I'm a personal organizer, and guide others in organizing their loved-one's belongings after they pass. It's actually a HUGE demand, but there are a lot of people who want to do it alone, and I completely get that.I decided, since I also do archiving, and my partner has 10 years experience as a web/app/digital product UX designer, I would offer digitization of photographs to flash drives and give instructions on backing up the data. Now, most (all 6) of my clients, since i've started 2 months ago, have been local. They've LOVED the service I gave and the care taken while handling their precious family photographs and documents.I thought, hey, if I followed the National Archive's Guidelines on shipping fragile items, maybe I can ship people a kit of the things they'd need to ship me their photos across the country! And i'd have a TON more business!Well, I created a google survey, posted it to the Sample Size reddit, got 3 responses. All 3 say they would NOT ship their photos through any service.I feel so stupid for even thinking it would be a good idea. Now I just feel down about all of it.Is this a stupid idea? Am I completely out of my element? Am I not taking something big into consideration? This whole thing is surprisingly emotionally heavy for me. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
