Hi guys,I'd like to share my current situation and what I have in mind to grow, perhaps some good advice or insight will be helpful.CURRENT SITUATIONI've been working as a web designer / developer freelancer for a few months. My only clients' source is Upwork and so far I've been doing great on the platform, got the TOP RATED status, all clients happy and been super busy non stop. The problem is that Upwork is not that scalable.Taking away the platform's fees, the currency change and taxes, I end up with barely 30%; so, if i get a 1k project, I end up with 300 in profit. Also, on Upwork the prices are more or less driven on the market, so I can't really price too high, though I try to be at the upper end of the range. So far I haven't been able to earn more than 1k/1.2k per month, which is a bit frustrating, considering also I'm working 7/7, from morning to evening.GOALMy current goal is earning between 3k-5k (€) of profit per month. This will allow me to survive and build budget to invest in other projects (leveraging money instead of only time).HOW TO GROW?The first decision I made is accepting only projects above a certain price on Upwork.I've been wasting ton of time on small projects, getting massive losses - like 40 hrs for $100 stuff, yeah, crazy - (I took as experience though, learnt the lesson).Another would be becoming contractor for some north american/aus agency.I had few leads on discord, but none of them ended up in real work.I don't feel like I have a real control on this option though.Lastly, I'm thinking about creating ton of valuable content on my website+youtube, with the final goal of rank for keywords like "web design+city" in my country (a european country, not english speaking). This would take time but if it brings consistent leads I can price way higher.---I'm not planning on building an agency, I'd like to create other projects on the site till the point I can quit the web design activity and continue just with my business ventures. But right now I don't have neither the time nor the money to start creating something.I feel like I need get to a good point with my web design biz first, financially speaking.---Any advice is welcome, thanks! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
