10 Steps To Success Derived From Self Discipline

I recently listened to the audiobook Self Discipline The Neuroscience ; Develop Daily Habits To Program Your Mind, Build Mental Toughness, Self Confidence And Willpower by Ray Clear. Although theres much more valuable information in this 4 hour audiobook than I can provide I wanted to take some time to break down the 10 steps they mention to get closer to total self discipline and in turn, success in business, specifically entrepreneurship.Ive added a few sentences to each of these steps with my own take on the idea, and my experience so far in the journey. I'll provide a link to the audiobook on youtube below, followed by the 10 self discipline tactics. I strongly encourage all of you to listen when you have time, and I hope you enjoy.https://youtu.be/ldiaiDt1w9gSelf Discipline CharacteristicsThey have a strong, well defined sense of purpose, they know what they want to achieve. Taking the time to clearly organize and structure your desired goal is crucial to success. They seek out a positive role model(s) for inspiration and learning, adapting their daily behaviors and mindset closer to those they admire and respect. This can give reassurance that the goal is indeed achievable, if you study and follow their blueprint then you’re capable of achieving the same success, or surpass their success. They use sensory rich visions and vivid imaginations to set the stage for their own achievement. The self disciplined person uses their mind to envision the end result, visualize and feel how it would be to obtain the results. It is possible to reverse engineer and break it down from end to beginning in measurable steps. They have a positive sensory orientation, they expect to succeed rather than fail. The power of concentrated thought and a positive outlook on the future is crucial to achievements, by always expecting a positive outcome you can expect to get closer to that outcome every time, even in temporary failures. The successful mindset views failures as lessons, and reassures them that they're one move closer to getting the right move. They have a deep rooted belief in their ability to achieve, they are immeasurably self assured. They don’t need constant praise or reassurance from others, or external rewards, they know that they're worthy and that their dedication to the craft will result in success. They have the ability to plan and organize, they can break down what they'd like to achieve into manageable steps and set priorities that let them accomplish the most important tasks first. A key point being, if you're focused on how you'd spend all the money, or you're focused on step 8 when you're on step 2, you'll be running in circles, making no progress and forever fail to achieve the goal. Knowing when to do what is very crucial. They know how and when to acquire essential knowledge and skills, they are not intimidated by the thought of having to learn something new. They openly accept constructive criticism and the possibility that there could be more than one way to accomplish a task or achieve their goal. They can recognize what they lack and are willing to take the time to sit down and go through to processes to be more readily prepared. They have patience, the passing of time doesn’t bother them, they'll keep working as long as it takes to achieve their desired goal. They understand ambitious patience, the fact that patience doesn’t mean just sitting around waiting for something to happen, but taking the necessary action and being comfortable compounding wins without seeing immediate results or instant gratification. They persevere, they're stubborn and wont give up, even when the going gets rough. There's always going to be setbacks, road bumps, road blocks or even the possibility of starting all over from scratch if necessary, they know that every minute spent on the journey is getting them one minute closer to their desired goal. They take the bad times as a positive challenge and learning experience rather than an end-all undesirable outcome. They view work as pleasure because work is bringing them closer and closer to the realization of the goal that will be their final reward. They understand that sacrifice is necessary and are willing to give up unnecessary leisurely activities in exchange for the chance to put together their masterpiece. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
