Questions about manufacturing process

Hey everyone, I'm currently looking into having a product manufactured and have some questions about the process.I have a good idea of what I'm looking for in my product but I don't have any concrete plans (like a CAD drawing) on how it should actually be manufactured. Do I need to work with a designer to come up with a concrete plan before I reach out to manufacturers on a site like Alibaba, or will the manufacturers work with me to create my product? If I do need to work with a designer first, where is the best place to find one?My product is a combination of two products which many of the sellers on Alibaba already carry, so I figure the design process wouldn't be too difficult to get right. I sent out an RFQ on this afternoon and didn't get many replies which makes me think my proposal wasn't thorough enough. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
