First of all I just want to say I'm not some super experienced freelancer or anything. I just tried consulting for a year to see where I could get. Not my first time doing it, but before this year it had been a while.I'm a professional draftsman. I design electrical systems full time and decided to take on architectural drafting on the side for the past year. In conclusion: it's just not worth it.The amount of stress and hours after work you have to take on to try and meet a client's demands, then not understand what they want, then have to do it all over again... it's just not worth it. I only ended up making a few thousand. This isn't the only time I've freelanced. I've done web development, light backend programming, even music and sound design and it's been the same damn experience every time. I've given up. I'm never doing this sort of business again. So, my goal for 2021 is to try and figure out how to leverage my skills to make some serious money, not just beer money. I might even revisit some older skills I haven't used in quite some time. I've had an extremely diverse career at this point in my life and have learned all sorts of things. That can't all be for nothing. There's gotta be something I can figure out that ends up being significantly profitable.Just wanted to post because I'm sure there are others here who can relate. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
