Do you know an sms alternative to Skype?

Hi!I'm outside the U.S. and recently started part time doing a research service for U.S clients. I got an U.S. number from Skype and have been using it to call and SMS with suppliers. Skype's call plan at $2.99 is not bad, however SMS are 12 cents each!I tried to look for alternatives but most looks pretty shady. Can anyone please recommend me an alternative? This will be for small-scale use, for the moment.Another disadvantage of Skype is that it has call ID, however it doesn't link with the contacts on my android phone. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
