For those who have ran software / IT consultancy companies, how did you go about finding clients?

I have recently began a software consultancy business and have taken care of all of the legal work (LLC formation, registered agent, etc.), as well as set up a variety of social media avenues to reach out (in my case, this has been LinkedIn, Facebook, GitHub, Instagram, YouTube, and a company website). In regards to my services, I am looking to provide chat bots (think of the "Erica" chat bot for Bank of America) for small businesses and organizations; eventually looking to make it to mid-size companies in the next ten years. With that being said, a question I have for those who have done software / IT consultancy is, how did you go about finding clients? At the moment, I am working on a product with some individuals I met through a networking event for their business, however my next step is to wander into the wilderness and reach out to clientele whom I do not have a personal connection to. When finding new clients, what was your main way of doing so? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
