HeroHealth is a pill dispensing machine that markets to the elderly or people who require routine pill regiments. I see their ads every now and then and it infuriates me how they are monetizing this service.Instead of buying one of these machines, they first charge you a $99 "Initiation Fee" to join. I assume this includes helping you out with inputting your pill schedule. Then they send you a machine and charge your $29/25/month to use it. From my understanding, you never own the machine. Why I'm Puzzled:Mechanically, this is nothing more complicated than my automated cat feeder. My cat feeder has an app, connects to my wifi, dispenses pill sized nuggets in adjustable quantiles. It cost me $70. So my only conclusion is this company is totally screwing over these people, most of whom probably don't know any better.A company like this is predatory and I do not believe should be succeeding. Can someone who knows more than me tell me why this is happening? Is there a patent that prevents any other machine like this from entering? Is it the simple fact that no other competitors are making themselves known? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
