Hey guys so I get out of the military in 2 years and want to start a pressure washing business simply because I don’t ever want to work for anybody else and build other people up when I can build myself.My grandfather who I really look up to is all about school and well... I’m not hence throwing 6 years of my life into the military and not college.So I asked him for advice since he owns a pretty good ecological consultant business in Florida and worked his ass off school and business wise to get there. Has a doctorate and a PHD and is stuck in the “you need a degree to succeed in life” attitude.Even thought I get free schooling once I’m out of the military, I don’t really wanna waste 4 more years of my life going after a degree that i don’t really care about. I’m passionate about my goals of this future business and I believe I can do it but I also don’t want to disappoint my grandfather whom I’m very close to.Is there anything I can say or do to give him a settled feeling? He states the pressure washing/house exterior cleaning business is very competitive and I know that, so I tried to explain that I’ll never know until I try it.If anybody has any insight on the business, ANYTHING at all that would entice him to believe what I’m saying, it would help a lot.
